Only five percent of lawyers in the state are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers and is based on an evaluation of 12 indicators including peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice. Selection to Rising Stars follows the Super Lawyers process, except a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers are named to the Rising Stars list.
