Legal Specialist
Lindsey’s in-house and litigation experience gives her a full-circle view of her clients’ disputes—one she uses both to help clients avoid pitfalls and to navigate nuanced issues through motion practice, trial, and appeal.
More About Lindsey
Lindsey focuses her practice on insurance litigation in Minnesota and Wisconsin state and federal courts—representing insurers in first-party coverage disputes, defending insurance agents against negligence claims, and defending insureds in liability matters—along with product liability defense. Early legal analysis, clear communication, and thorough fact investigation are hallmarks of her approach. She anticipates issues and acts quickly to develop persuasive arguments and bring a prompt, fair resolution to her clients’ disputes, whether through early motion practice, summary judgment, trial, or appeal.
Lindsey’s work spans the full life of a case, from pleadings and dispositive motions through trial and appeal. Recently, she helped secure a defense verdict for an insurance agency, and she has contributed to favorable decisions before the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
As a prolific writer, Lindsey is adept at analyzing voluminous and complex information and translating it into comprehensible terms that help clients understand and participate in their cases. She dives deeply into strategy, research, and the competitive landscape to develop a well-rounded approach that defends every angle.
Lindsey is a member of The Sedona Conference and its Working Group 1, which seeks to develop principles, guidance and best practice recommendations for information governance and electronic discovery. She also serves on the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Committee, where she helps guide both the responsible use of emerging technology and its adoption to advance efficient case management and handling.
Before joining Haws-KM, Lindsey gained valuable practical experience as in-house counsel at an international consumer products company and as a legal consultant.
