Briana is an experienced litigator who has earned a reputation for being a diligent, responsive, and client-focused advocate. Briana dissects every angle to strategically analyze how the facts, issues, and law in each case will ultimately tie into her client’s end goal — whether that’s prevailing through settlement or trial.

With an emphasis on collaboration with colleagues and clients, Briana believes that open, thorough communication is imperative in providing thorough representation on every matter. Her experience in both civil and criminal litigation, representing parties on both sides of the litigation, gives her a unique perspective to analyze cases from various perspectives. She is empathetic to those maneuvering the legal system and works to help clients understand every step of the litigation process with care and compassion.
Before joining Haws-KM, she practiced for 10 years as staff counsel at a major insurance company handling insurance defense claims from inception to trial, including personal injury and wrongful death cases, involving commercial/premises liability, homeowner, and automobile litigation.

Outside of the Office
Briana and her husband enjoy trying to keep up with their two children. Their family likes to travel and spend time outdoors, even in the cold Minnesota winters. She a self-proclaimed master of road trips, never misses out on a camping trip or outdoor excursion, and loves showing her family and friends everything Minnesota’s four(ish) seasons have to offer.
